Microsoft has again reported that issues with Skype are causing delays or failures of delivery of messages posted to the application's chat channel.
The last time similar issues were reported was on 11 November.
In the latest message, posted on 14 November US time, a Microsoft staffer Shea Meehan said that the communication issues had been temporarily resolved by 1910 GMT (6am AEDT today).
However, just an hour later, the same staffer wrote: "Due to some unexpected events, the issue has returned to a subset of users.
"Our engineers are investigating further and we hope to permanently resolve this issue. We apologise to our users for the inconvenience.
However, these issues appear to be confined to the Linux and Mac OSX platforms. On Windows, the Skype application works as it should.
Prior to November, there have been issues with Skype on 5 September, 15 September, 21 September, 6 October, 18 October and 21 October. (All dates are US time).
