Mac OS X 10.5.7 still not quite ready

By
Despite speculation that Mac OS X 10.5.7 was about to be released, Apple has sent another build to developers for testing.

A series of developer builds of Mac OS X 10.5.7 has been pumped out in quick succession to Apple's development community, sparking expectations that the next update to the operating system can't be far away.

But a fresh build - 9J56 - went to developers yesterday.

According to the release notes (as published by World of Apple), 9J56 contains changes in five areas.

Two of them are related to networking, one to Bluetooth, and two to crash reporting and logging.

Networking and Bluetooth have been a focus area throughout the 10.5.7 development process.

World of Apple also points out that four of the six 10.5.x releases - including the three most recent - have appeared on Mondays.

So maybe next week?
