LogMeIn improves mobile support in BoldChat

By

Secure connectivity specialist LogMeIn has announced an updated version of its BoldChat live chat service, featuring improvements aimed at mobile users.

LogMeIn's BoldChat is designed to help organisations engage in live chats with their customers.

Since consumers increasingly use mobile devices to research products and services, a forthcoming BoldChat release will feature an SDK for so that live chat can be built into Android and iOS apps.

The BoldChat reporting tools will incorporate this new option.

"To truly be competitive, companies must embrace this transformation of the consumer and start to think about their mobile strategies as far more than just a mobile optimised website and/or an informational mobile app, said LogMeIn service cloud vice president of products Steve Castro-Miller.

"Optimising mobile engagement means offering multiple, intuitive ways for consumers to seek help, ask questions and gain insights, from in-app and website chat to text messaging to email to social media.

"With the BoldChat mobile release, we're introducing new ways for companies to rapidly deliver 360-degree interactions across today's most popular mobile channels."

The new version will be available later this winter.
