Logitech expands ‘Collaboration Program’ with 15 new tech partners

Logitech has welcomed 15 new cloud video conferencing and complementary tech partners to deliver high-quality video collaboration across customer environments and an "exceptional user experience".

Logitech is well-known in the consumer peripherals space, from its famous keyboards and mice, presentation tools, iPad, tablet and mobile accessories, speakers, headphones, intelligent remote controls, consumer webcams, gaming controllers including awesome steering wheels, and more, including commercial video-conferencing and collaboration services.

The company has now announced a "significant expansion of the Logitech Collaboration Program (LCP), with the addition of 15 new technology partners including a number of well-known providers in the video collaboration market".

What the program does is to provide "members with access to the Logitech Software Reference Kit, which enables partners to deliver a seamless, integrated user experience", with members also able to "take advantage of joint marketing and sales programs as well new distribution opportunities".

It was a year ago that Logitech’s Collaboration Program first came to life, with Logitech stating that it "provided a unique framework for delivering high-quality video collaboration experiences across customer environments".

The premise was, and is, simple: "leveraging a broad ecosystem of solutions ranging from cloud video services to innovative meeting room tools", thus "enabling third-party software and hardware companies to integrate and optimise product functionality with Logitech products and ensure creation of video solutions that are easy to use and deploy".

It’s a natural step for Logitech to have taken in a competitive environment.

So, who are the new members?

  • Well, we are told that the program’s inaugural Australian members include video conferencing providers BlueJeans, BroadSoft, Zoom, all of whom are Premier partners in the Cloud Video Conferencing track.
  • New integration partners in the Cloud Video Conferencing track include CounterPath,, Fuze, StarLeaf, V-CUBE and VSee. C2G, a Premier partner in the Complementary Technology track, is now joined by Intel.
  • Also joining the Complementary Technology track in Australia are Pexip, and SMART Technologies. Globally, Clary Icon, HD Technology Partners, Iluminari, InFocus, mEdge, Media Network Services (, will be joining the Complementary Technology track.

Scott Wharton, general manager of Logitech’s video collaboration group, said: “Our customers are looking for conference room video to be as seamless and easy to join as it is from the desktop.

“Working together with industry-leading technology companies on the integration of Logitech products enables us to deliver ease of use without compromising in-room quality and experience.”

Logitech promises that "customers who purchase Logitech collaboration products, along with a product or service from an LCP member, will receive a solution that is optimised for groups to collaborate anytime, and anywhere".

In addition, "all LCP partners have access to the Logitech Software Reference Kit (SRK), designed to support integration with Logitech audio and video devices across Windows, Mac OS X and Linux".

The SRK enables an "exceptional user experience by providing enhanced integrations between partner applications and Logitech devices".

For those who are curious, the SRK "includes code samples and documentation for integrations such as call control (answer/ hang up, volume, mute etc.), local pan / tilt / zoom (PTZ), far end PTZ, and LCD content".

In addition to LCP partners, Logitech proudly boasts that it "continues its strong relationships and product integration efforts with Cisco, Google and Microsoft".
