API and integration vendor MuleSoft has announced a new version of the Anypoint Platform for deploying, securing and monitoring composite applications across cloud environments.

Anypoint Platform is designed to make it easier and quicker to connect apps, data and devices.

The new Titan release provides a new multi-cloud container service for Mule runtimes, a modern security model for distributed architectures, and an advanced monitoring solution for end-to-end visibility, the company said.

Those changes include an enhanced version of Studio to simplify common complex integration tasks and speed development, automatic tokenisation and encryption to simplify security, and a monitoring facility that provides real-time insights, dependency mapping and instant access to historical log data across APIs and integrations.

New MuleSoft certified connectors include SAP BusinessObjects BI, Docker, Microsoft Office 365, Google DFP, Edifecs XEngine Server, Zoho Books and Amazon DynamoDB.

"IT teams are struggling to manage the acceleration of new technology adoption, as well as the new capabilities and services being created inside of their organisations every day. With the Titan release, IT can fuel internal organisation momentum to innovate and drive business outcomes faster, while maintaining security and control," said chief product officer Mark Dao.

"The release bolsters our API-led connectivity approach and commitment to our customers by delivering powerful and secure application networks that scale globally and can be deployed anywhere."

Customers welcomed the new version of Anypoint Platform.

"The tokenisation capabilities within MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform allow us to secure credit card transactions flowing through JetBlue eCommerce Platform, so that we can drive innovation and agility without compromising security," said US airline JetBlue's manager of IT product release engineering, Vitaly Faida.

US highway service area operator Pilot Flying J is another Anypoint customer. "MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform allows us to securely build and share APIs with external partners, as well as experiment with new technology, to provide a frictionless experience for our guests, including professional drivers and traveling motorists," said senior vice-president and chief strategy and information officer Mike Rodgers.

"Anypoint Platform increases our developer productivity by allowing us to quickly and securely integrate systems that deliver new capabilities, as well as improve our speed to market."
