Telerik R1 2021 brings Blazor support

By

The R1 2021 release of .Net software development tool collection Progress Telerik includes more than 65 native UI components and over 100 grid features for Blazor, as well as improved reporting.

Progress claims the Telerik UI for Blazor allows applications to be built in half the time.

New UI components include Splitter, Slider, Range Slider and Loader Container, allowing developers to quickly control layout, select numerical values and improve the user experience related to data and operations while the app is loading.

The new Grid capabilities include Loading Animation, Load Groups on Demand and Multi-Checkbox Filters.

"Blazor continues to be the top choice for many developers, enabling them to quickly build and deploy apps, leveraging their existing .NET skills," said Progress general manager of developer tools Loren Jarrett.

"We've made it our mission to be the de facto standard for native Blazor UI components. With this release, we continue to deliver on that promise to developers, adding new powerful capabilities and enhancements with the most native Blazor components available anywhere."

Progress vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan John Yang said "As a result of COVID-19, we've seen a surge in the number of Australian organisations creating new apps to virtually connect with their customers, partners and employees. This has put pressure on developers to be faster and more productive, while meeting the expectations of the pickiest users.

"With the new release of Progress Telerik and Progress Kendo UI, we are empowering developers in Australian organisations to create high performance, modern and engaging applications faster than ever before. With our professionally designed and ready to use UI components, they can focus on the core functionality of their apps while saving months of UI development time.

"The proliferation of new frameworks like Blazor means that developers have more choices than ever for creating rich, interactive, modern experiences for multiple platforms and devices. What makes Blazor revolutionary is that .Net developers no longer need to learn JavaScript if they want to create web apps, they can do it with their existing skills. We are proud to offer the richest truly native Blazor UI component suite in the industry."

Telerik's new Report Engine includes an improved web report designer, easier to implement form type reports, vector representation of SVG images in PDF documents, and more stable report pagination.

It also provides a mechanism for dynamically changing the height of the PageHeader and PageFooter sections, and includes support for .Net 5 Official, which includes WPF Report Viewer, WinForms Report Viewer and Report Web Service.

Other new and improved features have been delivered for Telerik UI for ASP.Net Core, Telerik UI for ASP.Net MVC, Telerik UI for ASP.Net Ajax, Telerik UI for WPF, Telerik UI for WinForms, Telerik UI for WinUI, Telerik UI for Xamarin, Telerik Reporting, Telerik Report Server, Telerik Test Studio Dev Edition, and Telerik JustMock.

The R1 2021 release is available immediately.
