Parallels Remote Application Server 15 simplifies admin

Version 15 of Parallels Remote Application Server features an improved user interface aimed at speeding common admin tasks.

Parallels Remote Application Server provides a way to deliver Windows applications and desktops to employees using any devices.

The company said Parallels Remote Application Server has the lowest licensing costs for this type of product, and it includes load-balancing and provides for easy migration from competing servers.

Changes in version 15 include UI enhancements such as simplified user enrolment and wizards for application maintenance and new server setups.

Administrators also benefit from being able to schedule server reboot and application access, and the new version provides logon control to assist with planned server maintenance.

Security enhancements include Windows, Mac and Linux client configuration policy security with extended administrator capabilities to secure data and application access while preventing illegitimate user access, and support for security technologies including SafeNet, DeepNet and Radius.

Version 15 handles a wider range of virtual resources, including URL and intranet services, centralised drives, desktops and applications.

End users haven't been forgotten. The new release also features a redesigned user-friendly HTML5 client, allowing them to copy and paste between applications and change passwords.
