HelloSign brings more granular controls to e-signing

By

Dropbox subsidiary HelloSign is making it easier to use its electronic signing system in larger organisations.

HelloSign's new Multi-teams feature allows administrators to control the visibility of documents.

Previously, all users within an account could see all templates, in-progress signatures, and signed documents – a clear shortcoming when finer-grained controls were needed to sensitive documents such as personnel forms or legal agreements.

So Multi-teams allows individuals to be assigned to specific teams and sub-teams, each with their own levels of document visibility, while maintaining a single point of administration in the form of the HelloSign Admin Console.

It also provides detailed reporting of activity and status by team.

"As more enterprise companies embraced the simplicity of HelloSign, we saw a need to provide IT leaders with more advanced security, privacy and sharing controls," said HelloSign vice president of product Jeff Kreutz.

"With the introduction of Multi-teams, we're providing a solution for admins that need a more granular level of flexibility, visibility and control over eSignature documents within their organization, while still enabling the sharing of information."

Multi-teams is a feature of HelloSign's Enterprise+ plan, which costs US$36 per user per month when paid annually. Multi-teams is initially being enabled on request, ahead of general availability sometime in 4Q19.
