Construction software firm Procore opens Sydney office

US company Procore Technologies, a leading provider of cloud-based construction management software, has opened its first APAC office in Sydney’s CBD.

Procore was founded in 2002 and is based in Carpinteria, California.

Its expansion follows significant demand across Australia and New Zealand for "intuitive, reliable and cost-effective project management, financial and collaborations solutions built specifically by and for the construction industry".

In Australia, Procore has more than 100 customers and 50,000 users.

The Sydney office has sales, marketing, product implementation and product support professionals.

Procore chief executive Tooey Courtemanche said the expansion in APAC would allow Procore to address growing market needs across the region for cloud-based and mobile-first construction solutions.

"We're thrilled to be officially opening our first international office in Sydney,” he said.

“Procore’s expansion into Australia is in response to strong demand from local clients and other businesses across the construction industry for flexible solutions that will enable them to reduce costs, improve safety, and deliver projects within budget and on time.”

Milton Waters.The company also announced the appointment of Milton Walters (right) as vice-president of marketing for the APAC region.

Walters has more than 10 years' experience in the construction technology industry and extensive knowledge of the sector.

Before joining Procore, he held senior leadership roles at Oracle and Textura Australasia, where he was responsible for increasing market share, revenue and profitability while implementing customer-centric sales and marketing strategies.

“We’re thrilled to have Milton join the Procore team to help drive business growth in the region and address the increasingly complex needs of the local construction industry,” said Bassem Hamdy, executive vice-president of Marketing and Enterprise Strategy, Procore.

“Our expansion into APAC reflects the growing demand we’re seeing across the market, especially in Australia, and Milton will play a pivotal part in our growth as we work closely with the construction industry throughout the region."

Walters said he was excited to be part of Procore’s new office and growing presence in APAC.
