It can be used as a low-cost tier for on-premises storage in an HDS deployment, which already allows the use of public cloud storage from vendors including Amazon, Google, HDS, Microsoft and Verizon.
The latest HCP software release provides OpenStack integration.
Together, Hitachi Data Ingestor and HCP Anywhere provide secure, unified mobile access to cloud and enterprise data, according to the company.
