Ensono closes Wipro-hosted data centre services acquisition

Hybrid IT services provider Ensono has closed its acquisition of Indian-based software and technology services provider Wipro’s hosted data centre services business in the US, Europe and Singapore.

The acquisition, for US$405 million, is planned to be completed later in the year, and is Ensono’s third acquisition in less than three years.

Ensono says that by adding Wipro’s hosted data centre business, it has nearly doubled in size, expanded its client portfolio, and increased annual revenue to more than US$550 million.

With the acquisition Ensono — a US-based global company — says it will expand its presence in the US and UK, establish an operational presence in India, and extend into Germany to provide clients with “always on, scalable service”.

"Our combined company will bring solutions to clients across industries more quickly and at a larger scale than ever before."
