MYOB teams up with Franchise Council

By

Cloud accounting software provider MYOB has sealed a deal with the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) to make available its online accounting solutions to franchisees and franchisors across Australia.

Under the partnership, the FCA has chosen MYOB as its supplier of choice for accounting solutions for its vast network of members in Australia. MYOB will provide end-to-end business solutions that enable franchisors to work seamlessly across online accounting, mobile payments, Point of Sales systems with MYOB Kounta and now Enterprise Resource Planning solutions.

As part of the agreement, MYOB has also been appointed as the principal sponsor for the annual FCA Excellence in Franchising National Awards to be held in the Gold Coast in October.

MYOB General Manager of SME Solutions, James Scollay said the franchise sector has an annual turnover of $141 billion and is “incredibly important to our economy”.

“It’s critical that they (franchisees) implement the best technologies to see them succeed and to make their business life easier. As such, we are delighted to be working with the FCA to bring our online technology solutions to such an important sector of Australian business.”

“Online accounting not only reduces the amount of time wasted manually reconciling accounts by an average of 10 hours per month, but statistics have also shown that businesses who use cloud computing are 30% more likely to increase their revenue than those that don’t.

“Franchisors should be focusing more time on growing their brand and being a profitable business and MYOB can help them achieve this.”

Scollay said that, in addition to its online accounting and point of sale solutions for Franchisees, MYOB is now further extending its offering through MYOB Advanced; its new “online world leading ERP solution, enabling Franchisors to shift online seamlessly”.

“We know that online accounting opens up new levels of communication, efficiency and visibility, and we’re excited about offering these benefits to the Franchise industry.”
