MYOB says the purchase of IMS, a company based in the Hawkes Bay in New Zealand’s north island, represents a further strengthening of its position in the Kiwi payroll market.
“IMS is the third New Zealand payroll solutions company acquired by MYOB recently, following the successful acquisition and integration of PayGlobal in August 2014, and Ace Payroll in May 2015,” says MYOB SME Solutions General Manager James Scollay.
“In addition, we are investing substantially in developing the next generation of online payroll solutions.”
MYOB Chief Financial Officer Richard Moore says the IMS acquisition will help drive the company’s growth strategies, as outlined in its recent first half results announcement.
“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of IMS, which is in line with our strategy of targeting value-add acquisitions which enhance MYOB’s core business.
“IMS is a leading provider of payroll solutions to over 10,000 small and medium businesses in New Zealand. This acquisition will help deepen our relationship with New Zealand clients as we continue to roll out MYOB’s next generation of cloud accounting and payroll solutions.”
