Intuit launches accountants, bookkeepers' advisory program


Online accounting software provider, Intuit, has launched a free advisor partner program which it says offers specifically-designed units for both accountants and bookkeepers.

Intuit’s Brad Paterson, Vice President of the APAC region, said the company understood the specialisations of the two and developed the ProAdvisor Partner Programme for Australia “to provide training, certification, software and ongoing support that enables business growth.”

“The program is about developing the technical software skills alongside important skills to help grow their business, particularly for those looking to move or launch their practice in the cloud.”

US-based Intuit recently launched a complete rebuild of its Quickbooks online accounting software solution as it ramps up its expansion in the Australia-New Zealand region in a highly competitive market against the likes of Xero and MYOB.

Paterson cites comments about the new partner program from ProAdvisor and Jim’s Bookkeeping franchisee, Brenton Watts, who said of the opportunity to become a ProAdvisor: “The program allowed me to expand my business by providing me with the knowledge and resources to take my skillset to the next level. The presentations were outstanding and I would definitely recommend them to all accountants and bookkeepers wanting to set their business apart.”

Paterson said the main elements of Intuit’s ProAdvisor Partner Programme are:

•    Certification and training – The self-paced, online training programme culminates with accreditation as a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. The webinar units include advanced training, to help solve customer problems faster, as well as additional training modules such as ‘how to market in the cloud’, aimed at equipping professionals with skills to grow and market their practice

•    Software and discounts – Free access for QuickBooks Online Plus for internal and demo use, in addition to a discount / incentive scheme

•    Support and advice – Access to a dedicated team of highly-trained account managers and experts available by via phone, email and live chat

•    Visibility and exposure – Privy to the Intuit Business Builder online tool to create professional marketing materials, and use of the official Certified ProAdvisor logo.
