The mobile version of Google Maps, running on Vodafone handsets in the form of a Java application, will incorporate easy-to-use maps and local listings, as well as local search and navigation capabilities.
Customers in "selected markets" will be able to enjoy unlimited use of Google Maps for mobile, subject to Vodafone data tariffs. The announcement comes after recent deals to make MySpace and YouTube content available on Vodafone handsets.
