Optus has just announced what it is doing for iPhone 5 customers who choose to queue up at all of its ‘Yes’ Optus stores on iPhone 5 launch day, Friday the 21st of September, and it sounds pretty good!

Optus has just announced that “all” of its “Yes” branded Optus stores “around the country” will be getting supplies and stocks of the iPhone 5, ready for the 8am sales launch this Friday the 21st of September.

Existing Optus customers who were smart enough to “pre-order” will get the pleasure of skipping past the lines and being able to take advantage of “priority pick up” from ‘Yes’-branded Optus stores “at a time convenient to them”.

Those who pre-order get additional benefits beyond avoiding the hassle of queues, with Optus stating that four key, flagship Optus “Yes” stores around Australia will be offering extra-special pre-ordering benefits.

These include “staff on hand to manage the rush with a queue management app”, “access to tech experts to help them settle into their new handset”, and “as a thank you, customers will also receive a special giveaway item and get refreshed with a take away drink and food bag.”

These special benefits are for those who pre-ordered their iPhone 5's with Optus, and with pre-ordering now closed, it's a nifty way to reward those who went to the trouble of making sure they got their pre-orders in on time.

The four key locations for those pre-ordering that want the special Optus treatment are:

- 280 George St, Sydney
- Shop 9, Tattersalls Arcade, 211 -225 Queen St, Brisbane
- 253 Bourke St, Melbourne
- 659 Hay St, Perth
