Supposed “exclusive” iPhone 5 information is popping out left and right, from the claim of an August 7 release date, now down to an actual real-looking photo of what appears to be an iPhone with the larger screen everyone’s expecting.

On the same day that claims from KnowYourMobile say that an iPhone 5 is coming on August 7 comes what is claimed to be a real iPhone 5 picture. Or perhaps yet another real "hoax".

The photo came from a website called KitGuru at this address, although when you visit the site, you’ll see that the photo has suspiciously been removed.

Engadget is one of the sites that also published the image above, and as you can expect, it has spread across the Internet in record time, as everyone, his dog and her cat clamors to see whether the picture is real – and whether what is displayed looks believable or not.

Amazingly, the picture isn’t blurry, and it doesn’t look like a photorealistic render, either, but in this day and age, who knows?

Anything is possible. So too is a 128GB storage option, an NFC chip, a quad-core processor, 4G LTE, unicorn puppies and so much more.

However, until Apple makes an official announcement – both regarding a launch date – and then the actual iPhone 5 unveiling, the web could be champing at the bit for nothing.

Either way, it’s a heck of a lot of fun in these pre-iPhone 5 times, just as it has been for the last few years whenever a new iDevice announcement is imminent.

Let’s hope that today’s “leaks” are real – and that the hugely-anticipated iPad mini is too!
