If it seems like everyone you know plays Fruit Ninja, that's not surprising as it is now Australia's most successful game.

Halfbrick has celebrated the second anniversary of Fruit Ninja with a national championship match held in Sydney. The winner was Jess Nunn, who qualified at the Melbourne leg of the tournament.

She won a trip to Japan for a real life ninja experience.

Phil Larsen, chief marketing officer of Halfbrick, said "We've been growing steadily since 2001 and achieved worldwide recognition from Fruit Ninja in 2010. The national tour was a way for us to give back to the fans.

"The crew behind the games we make really enjoyed getting face time with the community at the live dojos in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, and the finale last night was a roaring success!"

The game has been downloaded 300 million times, and over 1.5 trillion pieces of fruit have been chopped. Earlier this year, Fruit Ninja was officially recognised as the second highest-selling App Store game of all time.

If you're not already a Fruit Ninja player, a limited number of free download codes are available at www.halfbrick.com.

"We have plenty more tricks up our sleeve at Halfbrick, including more updates for Fruit Ninja, the continued expansion of our latest blockbuster hit Jetpack Joyride, and new games to come in the future," Mr Larsen added.
