"Some plans charge a low rate like three cents per minute to call a popular international destination like China. This looks like a steal at 6c for two minutes, but when you add in flagfall at 29c, all of a sudden you're hit with 35c for each two minute call. Over the course of a year, that adds up and it's a far cry from the bargain headline price," said Mr Hansen.

Whereas with amaysim, "Calling China for instance will cost you 6c per minute, so a two minute call equals 12c," he added.
