The applications, both of which are available free for Android [click here] and Apple's iOS platform [click here], were made public early January and offer almost feature parity with the My Vodafone website.

'The app makes it easy to keep track of your usage, manage your account, view bills and find your nearest store - all while you're on the go, 24/7,' Andrew Tran, a Vodafone employee wrote on the company's official blog last Friday.

According to the application description, features of the My Vodafone app include:

View your account usage View your recent bills & payments Check your account details Find your nearest store View network updates in your area Contact Vodafone Join the conversation in the Vodafone Community

Vodafone says the app will work for post-paid customers, while those using its prepaid service will be able to download the app but will be redirected to it's mobile website for managing accounts at this stage.

Meanwhile, the website edition of My Vodafone has been under maintenance for the past couple of days with Vodafone noting that work is underway to bring some new features and improved functionality to the site that allows customers to manage their accounts.
