Vodafone has released an Android and iPhone/iPad app gives users up to date information on voice and data usage against plan quotas, and provides other useful information.
However only some of these services are quota free: use of the store locator and viewing the Vodafone YouTube page will all eat into their data quota. So too will the gathering of analytic data by Vodafone " to help us improve the service."
Vodafone customers already have the ability to set balance and payment alerts on their accounts in myvodafone.com.au so that they receive a notification when they have reached a nominated dollar amount of spend, which they can select from $100 and $200.
For example, they can be notified via text message when their account balance reaches $100, then again when the balance reaches $150 and $200.
Vodafone post paid customers can access the full suite of functionality in the app. Prepaid customers can download the app but must use the link to the mobile version of myvodafone.com.au where you can log in and use the account services.
