It's probably too late for most people's Christmas shopping, but Optus started selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab today.

Optus is offering the Galaxy Tab 10.1 on a number of plans. Options include $0 upfront on the consumer-oriented $49 Optus Tablet Plan (4GB of data per month, with a 24-month contract) and $20 per month on a $19.95 Mobile Broadband Plan for SMEs (2GB of data per month, with a 24-month contract).
The latter is comparable with Vodafone's $0 upfront then $39 per month over 24 months for 1.5GB of data per month.
"The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has been highly anticipated and we're excited to be bringing it to our customers in time for Christmas," said Rohan Ganeson, managing director of the Optus small and medium business group.
"It's important for businesses to stay connected with what is important to keep their operations running smoothly and competitively. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 on the Optus Open Network provides our customers with a portable platform to do just that. With our 24 hour a day, seven day a week technical support team backing up our SMB customers, there's no greater reason to choose Optus this holiday season," he added.
The Tab 10.1 is available via the Optus website from today, and from Telechoice stores by the end of the week.
Think again. Most businesses only have PART of a DR plan - and this spells business disaster in the event of an IT disaster.
