FOREX.com has expanded its range of mobile trading apps with a version for the iPad.

Joining the existing FOREXTrader app for the iPhone, FOREXTrader for iPad takes advantage of the tablet's larger screen to present more information at once. FOREX.com clients can use the app to examine data and place trade orders.

The free app presents realtime data, realtime news and market commentary, and allows trading in more than 70 markets.

"Over the past twelve months, we have seen a nearly 600 percent increase in mobile trading volume. It's clear that active traders crave mobility and the new iPad app is an important addition to our already extensive mobile offering," commented Samantha Roady, EVP at FOREX.com parent GAIN Capital. She added that the next version of the app should be released before the end of the year.

FOREX.com also offers an Android app, as well as a browser-based service that also supports the BlackBerry Torch and Palm devices.

The company warns that forex and other leveraged trading involves significant risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.
