Microsoft has confirmed Telstra, Optus and Vodafone customers with a Windows Phone 7 device are now receiving the latest platform update, dubbed 'Mango'.

As expected, Microsoft overnight confirmed it has now given the go ahead for its latest update - 'Mango' - to be sent out to handsets across the globe, after it was completed and ready for manufacturers at the end of July.
In a bid to avoid the lengthy delays that struck the first ever Windows Phone 7 update, earlier this month, Australian carriers Optus, Vodafone and Telstra confirmed that they'd all approved the update prior to Microsoft's release.
The update brings a series of new features including an updated web browser that uses the same codebase as Microsoft's Internet Explorer 9 browser, as well as more integrated social tools and functionality improvements including the ability to 'tether' an Internet connection.
However it won't be an instant update for everyone - Microsoft says it'll be slowly 'ramping up' the number of updates delivered over the next few weeks, with just 10% of handsets expected to be prompted this week and a further 25% the week after before everyone gets it all going well.
Think again. Most businesses only have PART of a DR plan - and this spells business disaster in the event of an IT disaster.
