Telstra has introduced an online portal that enables its postpaid mobile customers to track their data usage and spending from their handsets. However it provides no information to users of 'capped' plans on how much of their monthly included call/sms/mms value they have used.
Users can also check to see if their service is activated for international roaming; and can purchase an international roaming via their mobile - even if they are overseas at the time. My Plan Manager is accessed by selecting the "My' tab in the BigPond mobile home page (m.bigpond.com).
Ruddock said: "My Plan Manager displays a consolidated daily view of all your previous data activities, in different colours to advise you whether it is data used within your data allowance, or under pay as you go rates/excess charges. Information displayed on the mobile data usage meter is typically current as of six - 24 hours ago for customers with less than 1,000 services."
He added: "Look out for more enhancements specifically for mobile data usage between now and the end of the year...My Plan Manager is Telstra's first step in delivering a comprehensive series of self help and service management capabilities to use directly from your mobile device.
