BlackBerry users can get back on track

Your IT - Mobility

NavGuard has made a dramatic entrance into the Australian market with a combined navigation and tracking application for Blackberries, dubbed the first of its kind.

NavTrack, described as the 'first ever advanced GPS application for BlackBerry', can be used whether users walk or drive, and contains street maps for all of Australia.

RIM can certainly use the support, with its BlackBerry models lagging in sales of late compared to its iPhone and Android rivals.

The new software is available for a 15 day trial to Australian users, so that they can test the product, available here.

Every GPS-equipped BlackBerry can also be turned into a tracking device, particularly helpful for fleet and sales managers, so that all employee movements can be monitored via the web-based app.

The app is available for AU$49.95 for a one year license, and will also be available on the Blackberry App World from the 26th September.

NavTrack will be launched for iPhone and Android in October 2011.
