Amaysim reveals simplified mobile broadband

Your IT - Mobility

As it did for the mobile phone arena, Amaysim has announced a new way to purchase data for your netbook, smartphone, iPad or tablet.

iTWire recently had a coffee with Amaysim CEO Rolf Hansen and if there is one thing that is clear about the companies goals in business, that is its aim to bring service and simplification to the mobile market.  'We are the Jetstar to big telco's Qantas' says Hansen, and in doing so bring clarity to an overly complicated industry.

Today, following up on the simple bring-your-own-phone offers Amaysim offers on SIM cards purchased at convenience stores comes the details of the company's mobile broadband plans.  In keeping with Amaysim's approach, the details are quite simple and inexpensive.

Amaysim is offering 1GB at $9.90 aimed at occasional use like surfing the web and downloading email, 2.5GB at $19.90 for moderate users who like to download music or 4GB at $29.90 for heavier data consumers.  All these plans expire after 30 days from initiation.

There will also be a Data As You Go plan of $0.05 per MB and a 10GB at $99.90 with one year to use option.

'Customers are constantly asking for data packs that go beyond our original 1GB offer,' said Hansen, 'We combined this with the fact that the Aussie online appetite keeps growing, alongside the ongoing march of smartphones and tablets. So, it made total sense to bring out a range of additional lowcost mobile broadband packs that suit the whole range of users. With no excess usage fees or ridiculous terms, we think we're on the money with mobile broadband, the amaysim way.'
