The device has two outputs. One is suitable for most USB devices, while the other delivers up to 2.1A for the iPad and other tablets. A full charge is said to be sufficient to recharge an iPhone up to six times or a normal mobile up to 12 times. The powermonkey-eXtreme shuts itself off once the attached device is fully charged.

Other features include waterproofing (up to 30 minutes at 1 metre), the ability to retain 75% of the charge after one year in storage, nine power adaptor tips, and a travel pouch.

The powermonkey-eXtreme is available in black, grey, blue, yellow or red, and costs $219. It is distributed by Simms International.
