Construction needs cloud flexibility

Australia’s embattled construction sector could benefit from cloud based information systems that can be switched on and off in lockstep with individual projects – with the exception of those organisations based in remote areas like the Kimberleys.

HTC's epic Sensation senses Telstra's Next G network

Your IT - Mobility

Although Telstra's Sensis division has nothing to do with HTC's Sensation, Telstra has sensed that HTC's dual-core Android would be a great exclusive addition to its stellar line-up of Next G capable models.

Sensing a shift towards a world of smartphones dominated by dual-core models, HTC has at last launched its HD Voice capable dual-core dueller after having launched several single-core smartphone models earlier in the year.

While HTC kept Australian journalists wondering just when its dual-core design would deign to dial-up down under, the deed has finally be done, and the smartphone dual-core duels can finally begin in earnest.

Available in Telstra stores since yesterday, the 12th of July, HTC has naturally not only delivered an upgraded handset, but has delivered an upgraded HTC Sense interface too, with HTC promising that it 'puts people in the centre by making the smartphones work in a more simple and natural way.'

Ben Hodgson, HTC's 'Country Manager' for Australia and NZ boasted that 'The HTC Sensation is the ultimate multimedia smartphone', and added that: 'With its premium industrial design, look and feel, an immersive, richer movie watching and music listening experience by virtue of its true widescreen and virtual surround sound capabilities, the HTC Sensation is simply a feast for the senses.'

HTC describes the 'premium look and feel' of its Sensation as having 'rounded edges', and 'aluminium unibody construction', and a 'touch screen surface is protected by a contoured screen that feels more natural as a finger glides across it'.

Unlike 3.5-inch sized competitors, HTC's Sensation has a 4.3-inch qHD display with 'true 16:9' widescreen high-res viewing.

And, as we've seen from some other dual-core designs, HTC has employed a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, which promises a 'superior multimedia experience and all-round fast performance.'

When it comes to the improvements to HTC Sense, HTC promises a 'host of new features and enhancements, helping people to have more fun and get more done.'
