Billion's new BiPAC 6200WZL wireless router features built-in 3G access. It supports downlink speeds up to 7.2Mbps.


The Billion BiPAC 6200WZL wireless router has a built-in 3G modem that operates in the 850, 900, 1900 and 2100MHz bands, but can also be used with an external Ethernet-connected modem. The device is capable of using the two interfaces in a failover/failback arrangement, or to balance the load across two connections.

Quality of Service control allows the prioritisation of traffic according to IP protocol, port number and address.

The 802.11b/g/n router features support for WPS, WPA2 and WDS, and delivers throughput of up to 150Mbps. It also includes three Ethernet LAN ports.

Printers, storage devices and cameras can be connected to the 6200WZL's two USB ports, and the router includes print server, FTP client and server, and Samba server, with BitTorrent client functionality promised in a future upgrade.

The $249 device is distributed by PC Range.
