Apple halts iPad shipments

Your IT - Mobility

With the imminent Apple announcement later tonight, Apple has stopped production of the original line of iPads, pointing to only one thing.

9to5Mac originally reported the news, stating that retailers worldwide can now no longer sell source any more stock of the 1st generation iPads, meaning that a model must certainly be on its way.

As previously reported on iTWire, the iPad 2 is almost here and news of the first iPad running out confirm its release.

The news also means that the new iPads will almost certainly be shipped and released immediately, otherwise stores would run the risk of being completely out of stock of any iPads, new or old.

The much anticipated event is now mere hours away, and soon the IT world will know exactly what their new favourite device will look (and feel) like.
