A rumour has just come out suggesting that iOS 4.2 for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch will come to a weary, waiting iPad-owning world - in less than two hours, at 1pm ET today, November 18 in the US, and 5am on November 19 (also today) in Australia!!
Is it time for a woo-hoo moment, with the release of iOS truly imminent, or will it be yet another prediction that goes by the wayside?
If it's true, then Apple will have delivered yet another surprise, with most of the world waiting for November 24 for iOS 4.2 to arrive, with others still gloomy and doomy in the realisation that Apple might make us wait until the very last day of November.
But with news of
9to5mac's tweet saying 'Why does it feel like an iOS 4.2 day? 1pm ET?' from only an hour ago, at least we'll all quickly know whether 9to5mac was flat out right or flat out wrong.
Naturally, we all hope they're right, because iPad owners are sick of waiting for the features they've grown accustomed to on their iOS 4.1 capable iPhones and iPod Touches, and in comparison, iPad iOS 3.2.2 is feeling rather long in the tooth.
But with there having already been so many iOS 4.2 beta walkthroughs, let alone Apple's initial demonstrations of iOS 4.2 in action, the only surprise left will be when Apple release iOS 4.2, and when it is finally, and safely, installed on your iPad at last, ready and waiting for you to use in all new ways, exactly as you've been wanting!
So, 9to5Mac informers, may your sources be accurate and true, and may well all soon be downloading Apple's iOS 4.2!
