Be the next voice of Australia

Your IT - Mobility

If you love the sound of your own voice and/or telling people where to go, TomTom has an opportunity just for you.

The GPS provider is calling for Aussies from all over the country to log onto www.bethevoice.com.au and audition to 'Be the Voice' of Australia, and join the ranks of Snoop Dogg, John Cleese, Homer Simpson and Mr T on TomTom GPS devices.

The winner will receive $10,000 in cold hard cash and will have their voice made available for download on TomTom HOME.

Australians who fancy their dulcet tones and see themselves as the new voice of TomTom GPS Australia, can register online where they will be prompted to record a short grab of directions. All entries go directly into the running to become the voice of Australia, with the best entry of each day receiving a TomTom XL 250 GPS.

Nick Saisanas, Marketing Communications Manager for TomTom Australia and New Zealand, is looking forward to adding a real Australian accent to the TomTom GPS voice range.

'We're really excited about unearthing the next big Australian TomTom GPS voice. We want Australian men and women, from all over the country, to put their hands up and enter.'

'The hunt is on to find an iconic Australian voice that resonates with Aussies, and can represent the Australian accent right around the world. This voice will literally be available to everyone who owns a TomTom GPS unit,' said Saisanas.

The search for the new TomTom GPS voice of Australia runs until the 22nd October, with the winner of the competition being determined by a combination of criteria including quality of entry; adherence to the voice entry instructions and the number of votes entered by the general public.

So if you love telling people what to do and how to do it, and think the rest of the country wants you in their car with them, enter at www.bethevoice.com.au and get your friends and family to vote you in as the next Australian voice of TomTom GPS.
