Construction needs cloud flexibility

Australia’s embattled construction sector could benefit from cloud based information systems that can be switched on and off in lockstep with individual projects – with the exception of those organisations based in remote areas like the Kimberleys.

2010 iPod touch to include camera(s)?

Your IT - Mobility

Speculation is mounting that Apple is preparing a revamped iPod touch featuring at least one camera.

Rumours that the next iPod touch will include a camera appear to originate with an item on Hardmac (the English translation of the French MacBidouille site) that purports to show a case designed for the new model with a camera and flash mounted on the back of the device.

Hardmac says its source is reliable as it provided information about the inclusion of a camera in the 2009 "iPod Mini" [sic - presumably iPod nano].

There were rumours that the 2009 iPod touch was going to include a camera, and teardowns by organisations such as iFixit revealed that provision had been made for an internal camera. No explanation was forthcoming from Apple, but there were rumours of technical issues with the intended camera modules.

MacRumors has followed up Hardmac's report with photos of what is purportedly the front panel for the fourth-generation iPod touch. They clearly show a small hole at the top of the panel which could be for a front-facing camera.

The case design illustrated by Hardmac would not obstruct a front camera located as shown in MacRumors' images, which supposedly came from a parts supplier.

You can probably guess what the front camera would most likely be used for, but please move to page 2 anyway!
