Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) has revamped the postpaid plans offered under both the Vodafone and 3 brands, claiming a "massive increase in cap plan value."
The company says more value has been added across the suite of Vodafone and 3 Cap plans, Vodafone Single Business Caps and Vodafone and 3 Unlimited Caps.
VHA says it has also increased the monthly mobile data allowance across most of its Vodafone and 3 plans by offering anywhere from double to ten times the current data allocation, depending on the plan.
The new Vodafone or 3 contract cap plans costing $29 a month and above will allow customers to make free unlimited standard voice calls to both Vodafone and 3 numbers. This is being rolled out to Vodafone customers at present and will be available to 3 customers by the end of July.
The Vodafone $29 cap now includes $180 worth of calls instead of $150, the $49 cap $450 instead of $350, the $69 cap $650 instead of $450 and the $79 cap $800 instead of $500.
(We assume that call charges remain unchanged but this information was not provided in VHA's press release or on the pages of its catalogue detailing the new plans - not even in the impossible to read small print).
The Vodafone Unlimited Caps that offer unlimited standard national voice and video calls, and unlimited national and international SMS and MMS along with unlimited BlackBerry email and Internet browsing have been reduced in price. The one with 1GB of data now costs $79 instead of $99 and the 2GB version $99 instead of $119.
