Hot off the heels of Telstra's iPad announcement, Optus have announced their own range of data plans for Apple's hot new device.
Soon after I posted a story regarding Telstra's iPad data plans, I received an email from Optus detailing their own upcoming bundles.
The email read, "While we haven't unveiled full details of our iPad plans yet, I can confirm that Optus will also have prepaid as well as BYO/month-to-month data plans suitable for use with the iPad 3G with pricing on the BYO plans as follows:
|
Monthly Access Fee |
Data |
|
$20 |
2GB |
|
$30 |
3GB |
|
$60 |
8GB |
This means that for $20, Optus customers can get an extra gigabyte of data, while at the $60 pricepoint users get an extra 2GB.
The email concluded the statement, "We will provide further details of our iPad plans soon." Time will tell who will have the 'ultimate' iPad plan, but for now the winner seems to be Optus.
