Your IT - Mobility

Navigon is offering two years of free map updates to new purchasers of its GPS devices.

Australian purchasers of Navigon GPS devices will receive free map updates for two years.

The offer applies to devices purchased between March 25 and April 30, 2010.

According to company officials, the offer is worth $A99.

The updated maps will be based on Navteq data and published through Navigon's FreshMaps online service.

"Navigation devices have exceptional functionality, but are only as accurate as the data that drives them," said Gerhard Mayr, Navigon's vice president, worldwide mobile phones and new markets.

"We aim to provide Navigon users with not only the best in GPS functionality, but also devices that will last them for years to come, and with free Map updates Navigon are ensuring this is possible," he added.
