Weather forecasts and warnings on Next G

Your IT - Mobility

Telstra has begun delivering weather forecasts and warnings to its Next G customers.

The BigPond Weather service provides four-day forecasts plus local warnings to Telstra Next G customers. The service can be found under the News & Weather tab of the BigPond area.

Satellite and radar maps are also available as part of the free service.

In addition, Telstra offers daily SMS local weather alerts. Charged at 30c per message, this service delivers four-day forecasts for capital cities and one to four-day forecasts for regional areas.

"The application provides customers in rural and regional Australia information to ensure they are fully prepared for any adverse or extreme weather conditions at all times - even if they're out and about or out of reach of TV and radio forecasts," said a Telstra spokesperson.
