Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
NASA has released a free iPhone app giving convenient access to a variety of NASA images and information. The app was developed at a NASA research centre.
The NASA app for iPhone was released last week. The free app collects and delivers the NASA Image of the Day, Astronomy Image of the Day, NASA countdown clocks, online videos, NASA's Twitter feeds, satellite tracking, and more.
Functions include saving a downloaded image to the iPhone's camera roll.
"Making NASA more accessible to the public is a high priority for the agency," said Gale Allen, director of strategic integration and management for NASA's exploration systems mission directorate in Washington.
"Tools like this allow us to provide users easy access to NASA information and progress at a fast pace," added Allen.
NASA app for iPhone was developed by the new media team at NASA's Ames Research Center.
"We're excited to deliver a wide range of up-to-the-minute NASA content to iPhone and iPod touch users," said Gary Martin, director of the new ventures and communications directorate at Ames.
"The NASA App provides an easy and interesting way for the public to experience space exploration," he added.
The app requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later, and also works on the iPod touch. According to NASA officials, it delivers the best results over Wi-Fi or 3G connections.
