Your IT - Mobility

That was around 12-months ago when Tim brought together his small team in a room in the Fitzroy house of one of his team members. Now, just three-weeks ago the new application was listed on AppleStores around the world and already there’s several hundred users in 38 countries and, no doubt, many more thousands to follow. Countries where iPhone owners are already using the I am Safe application, are Andorra, Anguilla, Albania, Austria, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Ivory Coast, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States and the United Kingdom.

While this first application is for the Apple iPhone, Tim says he and the team expect to have an application developed initially for the Nokia platform within six months, and for other platforms like Android, after that.

According to Tim, the complexities of developing this first application were more than they initially bargained for, but now it’s been launched and is up-and-running, the team already has concepts for other applications and enhancements in their kit bag of ideas, and you can expect to see more developments coming out of the fledgling Xpertise Mobile in the future.

Asked why he had a graphic designer as part of the development team, Tim explains that he wanted the application interface to “look and feel good” and, indeed that’s been achieved with a life-saving ring in the middle of the I am Safe logo.

i am Safe is available for download now from the iTunes App Store, priced at US$6.99, and the even better news is that if you are quick you can download it at the promotional price and it will cost you just US$2.99.   You can activate i am Safe once for the price of the download, and purchase recharges (if necessary) through the App on your iPhone.

And, Tim Hine has the final word on his somewhat ambitious plans for the future and world domination – “Xpertise will not stop until we have taken over the world, one useful app at a time.”

Bring it on, I say!
