Apple adds video to one iPod, reduces price of others

Finally, Jobs returned to the stage for the traditional "one more thing."

He announced the Apple was now offering a video camera, and that it would be free. That's because it's built into the iPod nano, without raising the nano's price.

The nano also gets a larger 2.2-inch screen, in the same form factor as the current unit but in new colors.

Captured video can be played back on the nano's screen right away, or synced back to a computer. On the Mac, it will go right into iPhoto.

The new model also has an FM radio, a feature many iPod owners have long wished for, as well as a pedometer that can read the Nike+ sensor and sync workout data back to the Nike+ website.

The 8GB nano stays the same price, $149, while the 16GB version is $179, down from $199.

"This is our lineup for this holiday season," Jobs concluded. The finale was a performance by Norah Jones.
