First-up claim for mobile media monitoring service

Your IT - Mobility

Media Monitors is claiming a world-first media intelligence mobile service with the launch of its mobile mediaportal.

In launching its new mobile service, Media Monitors also claims a number of so-called ‘unique’ capabilities, including its ability to maximise mobile-only features such as “tap to call” listed media directory contact telephone numbers, “tap to locate” listed media directory outlet street addresses, and “smart fit” which allows users you to orientate and size charts to best fit their mobile device.

According to Media Monitors Australia and New Zealand general manager, Gregg Amies, the launch of the service means that for the “first time ever, people will be able to access the full range of media monitoring and analysis services from a mobile device, providing even greater choice and flexibility in accessing relevant media coverage when and how it is needed.”

Amies says the mobile mediaportal has been designed to work well across a wide range of popular mobile phones and is compatible with Apple iPhone, Research in Motion’s Blackberry, Google Android-based and Symbian Series 60 mobile devices.

Amies claims the mobile mediaportal, is a major step forward for communications’ management, and “gives the user complete control in receiving and responding to relevant media, anywhere and at anytime. Critical issues often strike while people are away from the office, and Mobile Mediaportal gives them the tools to respond immediately.”

According to Amies, mobile mediaportal also shares many of the desktop mediaportal’s features, such as a single username and password and being able to find media coverage and industry contact information quickly and easily with keyword searches and time period filters.

“We’ve designed mobile mediaportal to run quickly and efficiently for most media intelligence tasks while on the move, so users are able to access key services just as they would from a desktop or laptop.”
