Your IT - Mobility

The Team also explains that:

“Installer 4 Beta is included, it is added in any mode by default.  The main installer package management interface within PwnageTool isn’t enabled yet, and will report that installer.app isn’t available, but the actual Installer.app package is added as a default option in both modes.

“The latest Cydia is also enabled by default .

“Please ensure you ONLY download and use the tbz file - as we warned yesterday the re-compressed unauthorized .zip files cause problems with certain parts of the release.

“Our server is suffering at the moment, please hang on, if you choose to download the file  PwnageTool_2.0.2.tbz from anywhere else apart from these mirrors then check the SHA1 sum, AGAIN - ONLY DOWNLOAD THE TBZ!”

iPhone fan site “I Like My iPhone” also lists instructions as well as files for download.

Naturally, any hacking of your iPhone is done at your own risk, and expressly against Apple’s wishes, but that doesn’t appear to be stopping too many people.

The Dev Team’s blog has answers to questions posed by users, and no doubt a flurry of other articles explaining how to solve issues and update are being worked on or already available as you read this.

Good luck! Now... the world awaits a real iPhone 3G unlock... and Apple’s release of iPhone OS 2.1, whereupon the iPhone Dev Team will have to hack into action all over again!
