The initial wave of excitement has calmed down and many iPhone 3G users are left wondering how to get that little bit more from the latest Jesus Phone. iTWire has the answer, well 10 of the hottest of them around to be precise...
One of the problems with the iPhone is that it is just so 'pick up and
usable' that many owners do not even bother to read the various help
documents. Which is a shame, because it means they are missing out on
plenty of ways to increase their productivity.
Of course, some of the best iPhone 3G tips are
the ones that you stumble upon while playing with your handset. I have
included a combination of the two to produce what you might like to
consider as the top ten tips for getting the best from your iPhone 3G.
Many of these tips will work with an iTouch or older iPhone that has
been upgraded to run the Version 2.0 software, but beware that some

one: using the dotcom key. The iPhone cleverly gives you a .com key on
the keyboard when you are typing in web addresses. It might not sound
much but one press saves plenty of time compared to four clicks
otherwise.
But that's not the tip. The tip is that if you hold down the .com
button it will pop up a list of alternative top level domains such as
.edu, .net and .org to choose from. Of course, if it is .com you want
you can always save a little more time by not pressing the button as
tall and letting the Safari browser add it automatically for you!
Tip two: full stop and a space. Sticking with, and to, the keyboard for
our next tip is this little time saver that lets you quickly enter a
full stop followed by a space simply by double tapping the spacebar.
How neat is that?
Want to save battery life? Of course you do. Read page 2 to find out how...
