iPhone Dev Team jailbreak tool still due “soon”...

Your IT - Mobility

”So, currently (when released) PwnageTool 2.0 will support:-

”iPhone (1st Gen) with 2.0 - Activated, Unlocked & Jailbroken, (with support for third party applications).

“iPod Touch with 2.0 - Activated & Jailbroken, (with support for third party applications).

“iPhone (3G) with 2.0 - Activated, Jailbroken (with  support for third party applications).

“We’ve made some progress on the baseband unlock of the 3G device, but at this point PwnageTool will not support 3G unlocking or BootNeuter on the 3G device. It is, of course supported on the first generation device with 2.0. We’ll push out an update with 3G support if and when it is completed.

“As soon as we fix this up and test a bit more we’ll be ready for release, we’ll get back to you with a release schedule soon.

“Please loosen that seatbelt slightly while our cabin crew serve you complimentary drinks.”

The next post that followed from the Dev Team was a birthday message.

In Hungarian, the post says: “Boldog Születésnapot! Boldog Születésnapot pytey! Most nem tudunk neked egy letölthető születésnapi ajandékot adni, de nagyon hamar az is megérkezik!”

In English, this translates to: “Happy Birthday Pytey! Very Very soon we will have for you a downloadable birthday present for you, so hold on tight!”

This has caused hundreds of responses already, including one from a very ungrateful and frankly rude person who actually went to the trouble of filming himself saying “Where the f*** is the PwnageTool?” and shaking his head in disapproval at it not being made available, then posting the video in the comments!

The iPhone Dev Team must wonder why it bothers when morons like that go to the trouble of posting a rude video. A few people presumably completely unrelated to the Dev Team have already told him off, with one ever threatening to do worse, which may well send a shiver up that video poster’s spineless... spine.
