Telstra spokesperson Peter Taylor says that aside from the Sydney and Melbourne CBD T-Life stores, the iPhone 3G will be available from “selected Telstra stores across all capital cities and territories including regional towns such as Kalgoorlie, Geelong, Dubbo and Alice Springs.”
Taylor adds that: “Regional customers will not be left out, with the iPhone 3G available in the first wave to Telstra Shops in Alice Springs, Canberra, Casuarina in Darwin, Dubbo, Geelong, Hobart, Kalgoorlie, Marion and on the Sunshine Coast.”
He advises that Telstra’s other T-Life store in the Melbourne suburb of Chadstone will open at 8am, as will Telstra shops in Hobart (Tas), Queens Plaza (QLD) and Canberra (ACT).
Telstra's T [life] stores Doncaster (Vic) and Geelong (Vic) and Telstra Shops in Morley (WA), Kalgoorlie (WA), Sunshine Coast (QLD), Marion (SA), Dubbo (NSW), Casuarina (NT), Alice Springs (NT) and Kalgoorlie (WA) will also sell the iPhone 3G and will open for trade at 9am
Telstra’s information line is 1800 iPhone (1800 474 663) or www.telstra.com/iphone but until July 11 these two options will only replicate the information above and issue the already known pricing plans minus any data details.
We’ve asked about other details such as the availability of BigPond services such as Foxtel by Mobile but none of these were able to be confirmed for time of launch or even if they are in development for a future release.
Two more sleeps and all will be revealed!
