Febraury 22 2007 then sees Cisco and Apple kiss and make up.

May 16 2007 sees Engadget publish a rumour that suggests Apple will be late with the iPhone and this causes Apple stock to drop nearly 3% or approximately $4 billion, although it does recover quite a lot after it's realised it was just a rumour.

June 29 2007 is the day the official iPhone drops in 4Gb and 8GB configurations...

July 4th 2007 - the day the Web Apps 'SDK' that isn't an 'SDK' launches to the dismay of a lot of developers.

September 5th 2007 sees the iPod Touch released, the 4GB model dropped and a whopping $200 drop for the 8GB iPhone. It's also the day June 29 iPhone buyers at $599 a pop feel mightily ripped off. Anyone that bought an iPhone in the two weeks preceding the 5th of September get their $200 back, but iPhone buyers before then have to make do with a $100 credit at the Apple store.

Hundreds of thousands of iPhone buyers around the world who had bought iPhones to use an iPod Touch (before iPod Touches were available) because they didn't want to sign up to AT&T and who were waiting for an unlock (like myself) get nothing, although that was to be expected.

Mid September 2007 - the iPhone is software unlocked to be used on virtually any GSM network around the world! Apple isn't happy but they can't do anything about it even when new firmware versions are released for they are hacked soon after, too.

September 18 2007 sees Steve Jobs announcing in the UK that the iPhone will arrive on British shores on the 9th of November.

September 19 2007 sees Apple announce the same release date for Germany.

October 16 2007 sees an announcement the iPhone will come to France on the 29th of November 2007.

October 31 2007 sees Time Magazine proclaim the iPhone as the "Invention of the Year".

February 5 2008 is the launch date of a 16GB iPhone and a 32GB iPod Touch.

March 6 2008 sees Apple announce that a third party software SDK is coming to the iPhone after all, along with an announcement that the iPhone's firmware and software will move to version 2.0.
