The more shrewd amongst you may have noticed one glaring omission in my calculations. Yes, that's right, O2 do not seem to have mentioned the cost of making telephone calls with the iPhone. It is almost ironic, is it not, that in all the hype about the iPhone 3G and what a great Internet connected device it is sure to be, we have overlooked that basic functionality of a mobile phone: the ability to make a telephone call.

Maybe I will have to wait a few more days to make my mind up, at least until the cost of a PAYG telephone call is officially announced. And once I am convinced that iPhone users will not end up paying through the nose compared to the PAYG call charges for other O2 network handsets...
