Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Telstra considers that any such representation amounts to misleading or deceptive conduct, or be likely to mislead and deceive consumers in breach of section 52 of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) (“TPA”), or otherwise amounts to a false representation in breach of section 53 of the TPA in relation to the quality of the service.
Telstra will continue to monitor Optus’ claims in relation to use of 3G devices on its 3G 900MHz network, and will not hesitate to take such action as is appropriate.
Telstra reserves its rights.
Yours sincerely,
