3G iPhone: Crunchgear launches latest leak of iPhone pics!

Your IT - Mobility

CrunchGear is where you’ll find the pictures of the new 3G iPhone.

I’ve included one of those images here, so scroll on down, but over at CrunchGear you’ll find even more pics, including some nifty close-ups.

We can see that a videocall seems to be in progress – and there’s a button to end the call, as well as a button to ‘swap’ the images, as there’s a small image in the corner and a larger image on screen.

To me, this says it’s the ability to swap between the caller and the callee, so to speak – plenty of 3G videocalling phones can do this already, so it’s no surprise to see the same feature on the iPhone, although in typically super-simple to use Apple style.

All presuming, of course, that these images are real.

We can also see there are different colours, including a Product (RED) version, and further close-ups reveal that the back of the iPhone says it is a 16GB product – although I sincerely hope that 32GB models are coming, too!

One eagle-eyed reader to CrunchGear’s site noted that the red 3G iPhone doesn’t have a hold switch, which “must mean” the pictures are fake – but in one sense, that’s neither here nor there.

You can click here to see CrunchGear’s story on iChat for Windows, too.

So, real or fake? I think they’re real. But hey, that’s just because I want to believe. June 9 will elicit the truth, according to Jobs.

OUR JOBS, Who art in Cupertino, hallowed be Thy name. Thy iPhone come; Thy 3G be done in the US, as it is in the rest of the world. Give us this day our daily ringtones; and forgive us our mp3 ringtone rips, as we forgive those who RIAA against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from Windows Mobile, For Thine is the 3G iPhone, And the iPower, And the iGlory, For ever and iPhone, Amen.
